Description

Markons partner company is seeking a Cyber Security Project Engineer to provide expert-level support and guidance for engineering and technical IT-related activities to an intelligence community customer. This role involves managing all aspects of information assurance, certification and accreditation, and assessment and authorization processes. The Cyber Security Project Engineer will play a key role in the oversight of IT security policies and the risk management cycle, including tracking risks, accreditation status, and reporting across project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Offer day-to-day support and oversight of all information assurance, certification, and accreditation efforts.
  • Manage the processing of organizational efforts throughout the risk management cycle.
  • Coordinate closely with project teams to monitor risk tracking, accreditation status, and reporting.
  • Generate and review security plans as needed, ensuring alignment with project and organizational requirements.
  • Serve as a security advocate for all system and architecture changes.
  • Assemble and submit certification and accreditation (C&A) packages to the Principal Accreditation Authority or the Designated Accreditation Authority.
  • Coordinate C&A actions and system testing within appropriate security personnel.
  • Maintain a document repository to store C&A project documentation.

Qualifications

  • IT Project Management or Engineering experience with a focus on security processes, with a willingness to learn Greenlight.
  • A minimum of 11 years of experience in IT security, information assurance, or engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Intelligence Community Information Assurance policies and regulations, especially as they relate to the certification and accreditation process.
  • Strong technical skills and analytical ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active TS/SCI FS Poly Clearance required

Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
