Description

Markon is seeking a skilled V&E Engineer to provide hands-on integration and prototyping expertise, combined with strong cyber technology knowledge, to support our client’s critical technical solutions. The role involves developing, integrating, testing, assessing, and delivering tailored solutions in a unique lab environment to meet complex client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on support in the integration, testing, and characterization of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and custom products.
  • Collaborate closely with end-users and developers to resolve a variety of issues of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Apply systems engineering rigor and industry insights to deliver effective solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of market and technology trends to provide best-in-class solutions.
  • Operate with minimal guidance and may mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI FS Polygraph level clearance required
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and/or software development lifecycle.
  • 3+ years in system or network design, implementation, integration, testing, and security.
  • 2+ years with Wi-Fi, cellular, and/or mobile technologies and protocols.
  • Proficiency with Linux, Python, VMware.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, routing, firewalls.
  • Understanding of software vulnerabilities and exploits.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (HS diploma with an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity products, including anti-virus and endpoint security solutions.
  • Experience in mobile security, endpoint/network forensic analysis.
  • Knowledge of firmware/embedded systems and operating systems at the administrative or kernel level.
  • Familiarity with the Intelligence Community (IC) mission, vision, and values.

Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $215,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
