Description

We are seeking a Data Systems Engineer to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to perform operational data curation to address data management and ensure proper data entry of ODNI mission data into the IC Data Catalogue for improved data sharing and discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with data stewards, data managers, and advance data librarian support across all the
    ODNI DCOs to support data access, availability, and provenance
  • Extract, clean, and load the data from IC elements into a cloud database and creating
    metrics based on the data
  • Provide long term iterative improvement of a data quality framework to monitor and improve data reliability and quality
  • Assist in defining ODNI data assets
  • Develop and implement data processes for verification, acquisition, mining, and modeling
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
  • Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assisting in the resolution of data issues
  • Assist stakeholders with data related technical issues and supporting their data infrastructure
    needs

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Education and relevant experience:
    • High School Diploma/GED and 12 Years
    • Associate Degree and 10 Years
    • Bachelor's Degree and 8 Years
    • Master's Degree and 6 Years
    • PhD and 4 Years
  • Fluency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with GitHub to develop and maintain methodologies for data cleaning, processing,
    and analysis
  • Ability to accurately query datasets, extract data, and validate the data and results
  • Abiltiy to synthesize various datasets and write descriptive intelligence products for executive
    level audiences
  • Familiarity with Jira for project management purposes
  • Proactive self-starter and solution-oriented team player that works well with others

 

Desired:

  • IC and/or ODNI experience is highly desired
  • Familiarity with Tidyverse open source packages (e.g., ggplot2, dplyr, tidyr, readr, etc.)

Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
