Markon is seeking a highly experienced SME-level Application Developer to support one of its Intelligence Community clients from Herndon, VA.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using object-oriented programming principles
Build and manage cloud infrastructure and services on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB)
Develop and optimize backend systems using relational databases like RDS, Oracle, Postgres, and MySQL
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab/GitHub
Write and troubleshoot Bash scripts and work comfortably in a Linux environment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality software solutions
Develop containerized applications using Docker or Podman and deploy via orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Build and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Spring Boot
Monitor application performance and logs using tools like Splunk and ElasticSearch
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to project tracking via JIRA and Confluence
