Markon is seeking Facility CAD Designers to support our NRO client at multiple locations across the US.
The ideal Facilities CAD Designers will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:
Assist with the organization and management of drawings of record for real property assets to support the NRO facility infrastructure by applying configuration management tools and techniques.
Create basic designs/drawings for the modification of real property assets using industry and NRO standard design and drafting practices.
Create, maintain, acquire, and/or review designs/drawings, spare part lists, vendor cut sheets, version description documents, and schematics.
Maintain documents for the creation or modification of facility and systems assets in compliance with configuration management plans.
Apply technical methodologies to comply with code requirements for the modification of construction facilities or systems.
Design major components or portions of systems, creating assembly, detail, and installation drawings of complex assemblies, devices, systems, mechanisms, and structures in compliance with configuration management plans.
Required:
High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree required (dependent on level)
High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree
2–10+ years of experience in a relevant design/drafting role
Proficiency with CAD software and configuration management practices
Understanding of facilities engineering and infrastructure drawings
Desired:
Experience supporting NRO or similar government facility programs
Familiarity with industry-standard and government-specific design standards
Experience in logistics and facility support operations
