Description

Markon is seeking a Project Engineer to support our NRO client from Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

The ideal Project Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Plan, organize, staff, control, and lead the management of programs throughout the systems lifecycle

  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to the integration of National Systems-based capabilities

  • Assist in program management activities including strategic planning, cost/schedule/performance monitoring and reporting, program synchronization, RFI responses, cross-program coordination, and general programmatics

  • Support Agile-based program management and implementation of a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach

  • Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and review boards including, but not limited to, Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), System Requirements Reviews (SRRs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), and Program Management Reviews (PMRs)

  • Provide support in multiple domains including systems, mission, and enterprise engineering; program management; acquisition support; analytical support; technical analysis; user requirement management/development; architecture; and customer outreach/support

  • Facilitate enterprise commonality by defining, acquiring, and integrating a multi-INT, multi-sensor, and multi-nodal processing capability

Qualifications

Required:
Entry-Level:

  • 0–3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s in Business Management, Computer Science, Administration, or a related field

    • OR 7 years with a High School Diploma/GED

    • OR 5 years with an Associate degree

Intermediate-Level:

  • 4–7 years of experience with a Master’s in Business Management, Computer Science, Administration, or a related field

    • OR 10 years with a High School Diploma/GED

    • OR 8 years with an Associate degree

    • OR 6 years with a Bachelor’s degree

Senior-Level:

  • 8+ years of experience with a Doctorate in Business Management, Computer Science, Administration, or a related field

    • OR 16 years with a High School Diploma/GED

    • OR 14 years with an Associate degree

    • OR 12 years with a Bachelor’s degree

    • OR 10 years with a Master’s degree

AND

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (preferrably with this client)
  • Experience with project management, including monitoring developer cost, schedule, and performance

  • Familiarity with NRO and DoD national and tactical space architectures
  • Knowledge of program office processes, techniques, and documentation

  • Understanding of Electro-optical, RADAR, SIGINT, Communications, Mission Management, and Mission Processing systems supporting space and ground architecture

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business

  • Experience with various contracting types, such as competition, sole source, IDIQ/TOs, Other Transactions (OTs), and Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs)

  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile or similar frameworks, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence

  • Certifications in one or more of the following: INCOSE (or DAWIA equivalent), OMG Systems Modeler, Agile, Project Management, MBSE

  • Understanding of how system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation are enabled by MBSE across the digital engineering lifecycle

Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
