Markon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project. This position can be located in Kesselring, NY or West Mifflin, PA.
Review and disposition supplier mechanical design submittals, verifying compliance with specifications, industry standards, and manufacturability best practices.
Conduct and evaluate static structural analyses (e.g., FEA) to validate the strength, performance, and integrity of designs.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to improve designs for reliability, maintainability, and ease of manufacturing.
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with internal teams and suppliers to resolve design issues and drive timely decisions.
Interface with stakeholders and project teams to ensure engineering solutions meet program objectives, schedule, and quality requirements.
Apply knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards (ASME, AWS) throughout the design review process.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize designs and processes.
