Description

Markon is looking for a Systems Engineer to support the customer in planning and implementing enterprise architecture, systems engineering, and integration practices to enable secure and interoperable IC Information. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support the development and implementation of end-to-end data management processes across mission and business systems.

  • Assess data quality, identify anomalies, and perform basic data analysis to support decision-making.

  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency by developing and enforcing data management policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, including data sharing rules and security/compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple agencies to gather data requirements, communicate findings, and implement effective data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain integration and transition plans for enterprise initiatives across the IC.
  • Draft high-quality technical and analytical documents, reports, and briefing materials that demonstrate strong writing and grammatical skills.
  • Work independently or with senior leadership in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment, managing competing priorities and shifting timelines.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting or working within the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Demonstrated experience in data quality assessment, data policy development, and governance enforcement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in preparing technical or analytical reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with exploratory data analysis (EDA) and basic statistical techniques.
  • Familiarity with data reference architectures and data product standards.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise computing platforms, database systems, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) enterprise technologies.
  • Experience in data integration across large-scale systems or organizational boundaries.

Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
