Description

Markon is seeking an experienced Close Support Technician to deliver in-depth IT support and problem resolution across a wide range of technologies. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving user issues related to access administration, hardware, software, and application performance across mainframe systems, LANs, PCs, and printers. The ideal candidate will excel at analyzing customer requirements, coordinating with technical teams, and contributing to system upgrades and software implementations, all while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktop hardware, software, and application performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues across mainframe systems, LANs, PCs, and peripheral devices (e.g., printers).
  • Support access administration, account management, and IT compliance requirements.
  • Assist with the setup, relocation, and installation of IT equipment (may involve lifting up to 20 lbs.).
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve customer issues and support software upgrade implementations.
  • Utilize help desk systems to manage and track customer support tickets.
  • Ensure adherence to information security technologies, practices, and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Experience with desktop hardware/software installation and general IT administrative support.
  • Familiarity with standard desktop environments and application suites (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Proficiency in server administration, maintenance, and user account management.
  • Knowledge of information security technologies and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with help desk systems and support workflows.
  • Ability to perform light to medium physical labor (lifting up to 20 lbs.) for equipment setup and relocation.

Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience providing help desk support for customer systems, including support for non-standard and remote location requirements

Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
