Markon is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and support robust, scalable IT solutions across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in virtualization platforms, infrastructure support, and secure network operations. This role requires a strong foundation in system lifecycle management—including integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance—with a focus on ensuring high availability, operational reliability, and performance monitoring.

• Analyze complex technical challenges and deliver effective, timely solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy enterprise IT systems, ensuring scalability and security.
• Support full system lifecycle activities including integration, testing, and maintenance.
• Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and directory services (Active Directory, LDAP).
• Configure and maintain network and application load balancers.
• Support secure, customer-specific network environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow.
• Ensure adherence to deployment best practices and high availability standards.

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Recent (within 3 years) hands-on experience with:
• Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Directory services (Active Directory, LDAP)
• Load balancers for networks and applications
• Secure network environments and engineering project delivery (design/build/deploy)
• Collaboration and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
• Solid understanding of high availability systems and deployment best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience designing and maintaining secure, mission-critical network and hosting infrastructures.
• Proficiency with Linux, Cisco platforms (IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS), and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Hands-on experience with web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat), databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), and Citrix ADC.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, security analytics, and integrating emerging technologies into enterprise strategies.

USD $150,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.
