Description

Markon is seeking an experienced Network Analyst with deep expertise in telecom and data transport engineering to support both traditional telecommunications systems and modern data center networks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing intra- and inter-data center transport solutions, as well as architecting and optimizing cellular network infrastructures spanning 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-performance, scalable, and reliable communications systems across complex network environments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate network analysis of logical and physical telecom routes.
  • Review and assess network topologies, system architectures, router configurations, and telecom infrastructures.
  • Analyze large volumes of network and telecom data with precision and efficiency to support system optimization.
  • Design and evaluate network solutions across Software Defined Networks (SDN/SON), WAN/LAN, mesh, and multi-fabric networks.
  • Provide engineering expertise in both traditional telecom and modern data center transport environments.
  • Support the design and optimization of cellular network architectures, including EPC, 5G Core, and radio access networks (RAN).
  • Manage and maintain Network Management Systems (NMS) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) platforms.
  • Work with PSTN, IP/MPLS, and traffic engineering systems to ensure efficient data and voice routing.
  • Support the design, installation, and maintenance of traditional voice, VoIP, soft switch, and Session Border Controller (SBC) systems.
  • Deliver precise analyses and documentation of physical and logical network routes aligned with strategic telecom requirements.
  • Utilize telecom-related databases and analytical tools to monitor and report on network performance.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Strong understanding of telecom and data transport engineering principles.
  • Experience designing and implementing intra- and inter-data center transport solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise with cellular network engineering (3G, 4G, 5G), including EPC, 5G Core, and RAN components.
  • Proficiency with SDN/SON, WAN/LAN, mesh, and multi-fabric network technologies.
  • Knowledge of PSTN, IP/MPLS, NFV, and traffic engineering concepts.
  • Experience with Network Management Systems and telecom databases.
  • Skilled in analyzing large datasets and providing detailed network assessments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with project teams and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • International telecommunications experience.
  • Foreign language proficiency.

Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
