Markon is seeking a Security Specialist to support our client’s operational requirements on a mission-focused program within a challenging and dynamic environment.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security programs.
Process CAP/SAP requests from the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD); brief Control Officers; maintain program records and files; update SOPs and briefings as needed; and serve as liaison between the PMO and CAP/SAP team.
Provide expert recommendations on personnel security policies, standards, and procedures.
Draft security requirements and implementation guidance to ensure compliance and consistency.
Assess security programs to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Prepare for and participate in security working groups and interagency forums, including coordination and event logistics.
Conduct or facilitate training sessions and technical or administrative briefings for government and contractor personnel.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security programs.
Prepare staff and facilities for government security audits.
Conduct security reviews of acquisition packages and update document classifications as required.
Deliver security briefings to personnel and support visitor management processes.
Process 4311 documents and provide administrative support for visitor access requests.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree and 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience with Special Access Program (SAP), Controlled Access Program (CAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security procedures.
Strong background in information, industrial, and personnel security principles and practices.
Proven ability to develop, analyze, and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements.
Demonstrated ability to apply a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to resolve complex challenges and develop guidance documentation.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with or within the Intelligence Community (IC).
