Markon is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer Level 3 to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level systems supporting mission-critical operations. In this role, you will work with ONEROOF, PITCHHITTER, NiFi, and a range of Systems Administration (SA) components to ensure seamless virtualization, robust Linux environments, GOTS product integration, and reliable Windows Server administration.
Architect, configure, and maintain systems utilizing ONEROOF, PITCHHITTER, and NiFi to optimize workflow and data processing.
Provide virtualization support, including both cloud-based and on-premises solutions.
Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards.
Manage, maintain, and deploy GOTS (Government Off-The-Shelf) products, integrating them into complex system architectures.
Oversee Windows Server administration, including performance tuning, security enhancements, and system automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust system design, integration, and operational efficiency.
Develop and implement best practices for system security, monitoring, configuration management, and documentation.
Requirements:
BS degree plus 20 years of experience required.
Extensive experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or related disciplines supporting enterprise or mission-critical environments.
Hands-on experience with ONEROOF, PITCHHITTER, NiFi, and similar platforms.
Strong background in virtualization technologies, including cloud and on-prem solutions.
Expertise with Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
Experience integrating and managing GOTS products within complex architectures.
Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including security, automation, and performance optimization.
Proven ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
