Description

Markon’s partner company is seeking a TEMPEST Engineer to join a team of experienced engineers and subject matter experts responsible for protecting the security of critical national systems for the Fort Meade Customer. In this role, you will perform TEMPEST testing, analysis, and engineering assessments to ensure compliance with national TEMPEST standards and to identify potential vulnerabilities in secure systems.

 

This position requires working onsite with the customer, collaborating closely with their team to support mission success and maintain the integrity of certified cryptographic devices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) in defining TEMPEST testing requirements
  • Perform TEMPEST laboratory testing of certified cryptographic devices to ensure compliance with current National TEMPEST standards
  • Conduct TEMPEST field testing to identify vulnerabilities in secure communications and cryptographic systems
  • Review and evaluate Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) packages to determine potential impacts to TEMPEST integrity
  • Recommend additional testing or mitigation strategies when system changes may affect TEMPEST compliance
  • Participate in technical meetings with device users, customers, CSCMs, and vendor partners
  • Provide subject matter expert (SME) support when TEMPEST vulnerabilities are identified in cryptographic devices
  • Support remediation efforts and recertification activities when required

Qualifications

  • Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II)
  • 3+ years of experience in TEMPEST testing and/or TEMPEST manufacturing
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Military or Intelligence Community (IC) experience in a relevant technical or RF engineering field
  • Experience working with cryptographic devices and secure communications systems

Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
