Description

Markon is building a talent pool of Construction Monitors to support future Intelligence Community facility and secure construction missions. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify qualified professionals to provide on-site construction monitoring and oversight for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and other secure facility projects. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings requiring construction surveillance, documentation, quality oversight, and verification of work in accordance with project specifications, ICD 705, and applicable security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site construction monitoring and oversight for SCIF and other secure facility construction and renovation projects.
  • Monitor construction activities and document project progress, deviations, deficiencies, and potential compliance issues.
  • Prepare accurate daily and weekly construction logs, reports, photographs, and supporting documentation.
  • Verify installation of RF shielding, acoustic protections, physical security features, and other secure construction requirements.
  • Review construction activities for alignment with approved drawings, specifications, security requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, security personnel, inspectors, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve construction issues.
  • Support end-of-construction inspections, testing, punch-list activities, and project closeout.
  • Maintain accurate project records and support multiple construction priorities in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
  • Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical field; 5 years of construction oversight experience may substitute for a degree
  • 3+ years of experience in construction monitoring, inspection, and/or project management
  • Experience monitoring construction activities and documenting progress, deficiencies, and deviations
  • Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, methods, materials, and quality requirements
  • Ability to prepare clear and accurate construction logs, reports, and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on active construction sites and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams

Desired:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
  • Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification
  • Experience supporting SCIF construction and ICD 705 compliance activities
  • Experience monitoring RF shielding, acoustic, and physical security installations
  • Experience supporting end-of-construction inspections, testing, and facility closeout activities
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community secure facilities and construction projects

Salary Range

USD $95,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
