Description

Markon is seeking a Project Analyst to support the Naval Nuclear Laboratory’s construction projects in Niskayuna, NY, with potential support to the Kesselring (West Milton, OH) site as needed. This position will provide project controls support for construction efforts ranging from approximately $3M to $80M, developing and maintaining integrated resource and financial schedules, monitoring project performance, analyzing risk, and supporting project management activities throughout the project lifecycle.

 

NOTE: This position requires regular onsite work at the Niskayuna, NY location and may be performed remotely up to 10% of the time. An active DOE L clearance is required, though a DoD secret and above clearance may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Support construction projects ranging from approximately $3M to $80M at the Knolls site, with potential support to the Kesselring site as needed.
  • Develop and maintain integrated resource and financial schedules using Primavera.
  • Track project plans and monitor progress using established project management techniques.
  • Conduct project risk analysis and support the identification and mitigation of project risks.
  • Identify resource conflicts and assist with resolving schedule and project conflicts.
  • Analyze project budgets and workforce estimates.
  • Monitor project performance and evaluate progress against established plans.
  • Develop and prepare performance metrics for management and customers.
  • Process and support project change controls.
  • Prepare and submit project reports.
  • Develop portions of the Program Management Plan.
  • Support project meetings and associated project management activities.
  • Issue and track project change controls.
  • Prepare project closeout reports.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have an active DOE L clearance to be considered.
    • An active DoD secret or above may be considered as well.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling software, preferably Primavera.
  • Experience managing and analyzing financial information.

Desired:

  • Coursework or professional experience in project management.
  • Experience analyzing project performance against established plans.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in technical writing to author or support project submittals.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence software, such as Power BI, is a plus.

Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $127,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
