Technical Operations Project Manager

Markon is seeking a Technical Operations Project Manager (Level IV) to support an Intelligence Community client in Chantilly, Virginia. This position will serve as the primary technical point of contact for a designated project team, managing and tracking its communications solution suite throughout the full lifecycle. The Technical Operations PM will work closely with customers, stakeholders, engineers, and development teams to ensure secure, scalable communications and IT solutions are properly defined, implemented, maintained, and adapted to evolving mission requirements.

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a designated project team and its communications solutions.
• Manage and track customer communications and technical solutions throughout their lifecycle, from requirements gathering and implementation through operations and maintenance.
• Gather technical and operational requirements and translate customer needs into effective IT and communications solutions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and coordinate technical activities across customer, engineering, and development teams.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure communications solutions meet evolving customer requirements.
• Track and validate requirements in coordination with development teams.
• Configure, deploy, and support technical solutions.
• Support the development of robust and scalable IT solutions, including virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure.
• Apply IT and cybersecurity best practices throughout solution design, deployment, and sustainment.
• Support networking and network security technologies within customer environments.
• Support Virtual Desktop technologies and associated infrastructure.
• Track implementation activities and ongoing operations and maintenance requirements.
• Train system users on implemented technical solutions.
• Present and discuss technical operations, requirements, solutions, and status with senior management.

Required:

• An Active TS/SCI with a FS Polygraph is required to be considered
• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the specific technical skill and a minimum of 11 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree and a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience; OR
  • No degree and a minimum of 15 years of related work experience.
• Experience developing robust, scalable IT solutions, with an emphasis on virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure systems.
• Experience gathering and managing technical requirements.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations.
• Experience configuring and deploying technical solutions.
• Experience training system users.
• Experience implementing IT and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience presenting and discussing technical operations with senior management.
• Demonstrated experience managing and tracking customer solutions throughout the lifecycle, including requirements gathering, implementation, and operations and maintenance (O&M).
• Experience with networking and network security technologies.
• Experience with Virtual Desktop technologies.
• Experience working with development teams to track and validate requirements.

Desired:

• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies.
• Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining networks.
• Recent hands-on experience, within the last 3 years, with WAN, LAN, and client-access technologies, including:
  • MACsec.
  • HSRP.
  • VRF.
  • VPC.
  • ACLs.
  • BGP.
  • EIGRP.
• Demonstrated understanding of security monitoring and auditing.
• Experience guiding systems through the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
• Hands-on experience with commercial cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with commercial voice technologies, including VoIP and PBX.

USD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
